Art Portfolio Questions?
I’m graduating from my community college and transferring to a University that has a College of Arts that I like. I’m setting up my portfolio and I’m having a hard time putting stuff together. I have a variety of pieces in a variety of mediums but I’m especially fond of (and specialized in) digital art. Not Graphic Design, but drawing something (in or out of Photoshop) and using Photoshop to paint it. I’ve always gotten the vibe that digital art is sort of looked down upon, so I’m wondering if it’d be a good idea to include prints of some of my digital stuff in my portfolio?
Also, any advice from people who have gone through portfolio evaluations would be greatly appreciated!! I’m incredibly nervous 
so anything will be appreciated. Thank You!!
The University I’m looking into is USF – College of the Fine Arts for a B.A
You should include whatever pieces you like in your portfolio. Unless this is a prestigious BFA program you’re talking about, you’re not going to get turned down from the university because of your portfolio. They most likely want to look at it so they know what classes to place you in and can help advise you better.
Added: USF is a state school so I’m 99.9% sure your admission is not riding on your portfolio. They just want to get an idea of what level you are at and where your interests lie. There’s no need to be nervous.
