What type of thermometer should I get for a Newborn?

I am trying to pick one, but there are so many! Ear,rectal,pacifier…what works best for a newborn? Any brands better than others??

Rectal IS the most accurate way. However, with my first child I was unable to get an accurate reading from her rectally and it was awful.
With my second child I purchased a temporal artery scanner and I actually tested it and compared it to rectal, underarm, mouth, and ear temps and it was JUST AS ACCURATE as the rectal, to a 10th of a degree.
Much easier, less stressfull and my doctor agreed that my readings were just fine compared with rectal readings.
Now with my third child temporal artery scanning is the only way I go and its never let me down.
