What can I do to have vertical photos downloaded from my camera fill the monitor screen?
When I turn my camera 90 degrees to take a vertical photo of something tall it appears 90 degrees rotated counter clockwise on my computer screen after downloading. It fills the screen. When I rotate it 90 degrees clockwise, to make it appear right-side up, it only takes up about 1/3 of the screen, in the middle. How can I make the rotated photo fill up the screen?
When I find a vertical (portrait aspect) photo that I want to use as my computer wallpaper, I do one of three things.
1. Using Paint or any photo manipulation program, I stretch the horizontal aspect to fit the screen. The negative part is that that usually distorts the image terribly.
2. I crop the image, again, using my photo program. The negative part of that is that your original compostion is lost, though you may find something hidden in your shot that you didn’t see before.
3. I use Paint and to copy & paste 3 versions of the same or different images until the screen is filled. Think of it as a collage.
