Just bought The Sims 2, I use a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop with Vista and the game is SLOW! Help!? 10pts B.A.!?
Yeah, so I just recently got The Sims 2 Deluxe version that has the nightlife expansion already installed with it, and I bought the H&M expansion with it as well. I really don’t have much experience with the sims games except for on Ps2 years ago, I haven’t played around with it for a long time..so I just got the computer version to see if it’s any different..
But the problem is, it is just SO slow! I know of other people who have the game and have seen them play it and it goes lightning quick, but when it is loading to go to a neighborhood or being in the houses it just goes so slow and the movement isn’t smooth at all..it stalls all the time and the loading screens literally take almost 10 minutes…What’s the problem, my friends don’t seem to have it?
Now i dont know much about the game sims 2 but i do know its some high graphic role playing game connected to everyone in the world. To answer your question is very hard. one you only said you have a dell inspiron1501 laptop with vista. Now vista is great for games but you also need a video card and virtual memmory for the game to be faster so go to a computer place and say you want an upgrade give them the game so they can modify your computer to be able to run the game. Cost around 150 for a decent graphic card + another 50 bucks to add ram in to your card about $250
