At what month of pregnancy do u start shopping for baby clothes?
I am 10wks preganant,and want 2 know when should I start to shop 4 baby items
later on like last few months, for several reasons.
1. Gender what if the ultra sound was wrong? you want to be in the return / exchange window. My friends son had an awful lot of pink frilly stuff in his wardrobe when he was born.
2. Gifts, never know what people are going to give you, I was handed down a lot of basics too. A lot of stuff that size is outgrown before use so a lot I was “handed down” were still new or like new.
3. Size, usually gift givers load you up on tiny newborn stuff, but you wont use those long if at all. My son was 9lbs at birth, and very long. A lot of the newborn gifts were up to 7.5 lb, didn’t fit him at all. I did buy a special going home outfit that fortunately fit.
If you wait until you know about how big the baby will be you will know more what to get so you don’t get stuck falling in love with special outfits only to not be able to use them. Unless you have a very tiny Baby Newborn clothes don’t last long either, if you are going to buy early get more 3/6m because they will be in it fast, my son was in a lot of 3m and 6m stuff immediately.
