What is the difference in a store that is an authorized AT&T dealer?
There are some cell phone stores that are authorized dealers and some that are not authorized. What is the difference?
So, if the ones that are not authorize cannot view your account, can they still help you upgrade? Or is it only for new service?
They can do upgrades as well. The thing with authorized dealers is they actually have to purchase their inventory so they may not be as willing to swap phones out if there is a problem with them. Company owned AT&T stores get their inventory provided free and they have more latitude when Tech Support needs to have them get a free SIM card or swap out an accessory that is not working and things like that. The authorized dealers will not do those things because it costs them money out of their pockets
